Information searching behavior of high school teachers in the Delegación Iztapalapa, Mexico City

Abstract

The study, part of a deeper investigation, shows the process of finding information that the high school teach- ers have developed in the general and technical public schools in the Delegación Iztapalapa, Mexico City. First, the paper begins to address the term behavior in the process of searching for information by analyzing some authors and then provides an overview of the practice of teaching. It also describes the target population and methodology used for data collection. The results conclude that teachers use the printed and electronic formats to carry out their activities, highlighting the use of the Internet and books of a general nature.
