Automated updating of the bibliographic catalogs in the UNAM Library System, SIBIUNAM, by the Koha Integrated Library System, SIGB

Abstract

The processes of cataloging, classification and registration of bibliographical collections are carried out centrally in the LIBRUNAM catalogue, by the Department of Technical Services of the General Directorate of Libraries and Digital Information Services and by the staff of the UNAM Library System. As a consequence of the centralization of information, the need arises to update the local catalogs of the libraries managed by the Koha Integrated Library System (ILS) and such updates must be done through automated methods, on a weekly basis.
